Our story

Slow-fermented, baked in Kissimmee, FL.

Grain & Gather started the way most good things around here do — at home, in a small kitchen, chasing a better loaf. Every batch is naturally leavened with our own sourdough starter and given the long, slow fermentation that gives real sourdough its open crumb, crackly crust, and gentle tang.

We bake in small batches to order, never in bulk for a shelf. That means no preservatives and nothing sitting around — just bread, bagels, and cookies made fresh the same week you pick them up. When a seasonal flavor is gone, it's gone until it comes back around.

Questions, answered

The quick version of everything neighbors usually ask. Still stuck? Email the bakehouse and we'll help.

When and where is pickup?

Orders are baked fresh for the week. Choose the dated Friday porch-pickup window at checkout; confirmed orders include the exact Kissimmee pickup details.

How do I pay?

Checkout currently uses manual PayPal or Venmo QR payment. Place the order, send the exact total with your order number in the note, and we’ll email the confirmation after payment is marked received.

When do I need to order by?

Preorders are open Monday through Wednesday each week, and that window sets the Friday bake list. Order early — popular flavors and small batches sell out before the deadline.

Can I mix and match the three-packs?

Absolutely. Add mini loaves or cookies one at a time in any flavor combination. The cart shows each selection and asks you to complete groups of three before checkout.

What about allergens?

Everything is made with wheat and naturally leavened sourdough. Our kitchen also handles nuts, peanuts, dairy, eggs, and soy, so cross-contact is possible — we can't guarantee any item is free of a given allergen. Items with nuts are tagged on the menu. If you have a serious allergy, email us before ordering and we'll talk it through.

Can you do custom or large orders?

Often, yes — gatherings, gifts, and bigger batches are some of our favorite bakes. Reach out by email with what you have in mind and we'll see what we can fit into the week.
